As wildly
popular WhatsApp may be as mode of communication it does have a feature that
can become really annoying. We are talking about WhatsApp group and almost
everyone has been on the receiving end of those lame jokes, irritating poems
with the feared “Good Morning” messages. However the Facebook-owned instant
messaging platform now has a feature where can stop people from adding you to
groups. Sound like manna from heaven, doesn’t it? Well, here’s how to go about
it. Before we get into the steps, do not that you most have the latest version
of WhatsApp downloaded on your android device or an iPhone. Moving on, here are
the steps to follow.
- Open WhatsApp on your phone
- Go to setting tab and under that click on the account tab
- Once you’re the account section, click the privacy.
- Tab on group
- Here you will see the three option: “Everyone”, “My Contacts” and “Nobody”
- Depending on who you actually want to be added by choose any one option
There are
few things to keep in mind. If you choose the option “Nobody” then the group
admin send you the privately invitation to join the group. If you feel that it’s
group that you want to be a part of them you can accept the invitation. So
there you go. These simple step can certainly help you in stopping that endless
dam of message that keep chiming in every other minute.
