Panipat, June 13 (KNN) As many as 12 industrial units have been served closure
notice by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for flouting emission norms in
Panipat and Ganaur (Sonepat).
The CPCB order stated, “The
textile industries are identified as one of the grossly polluting units as they
are discharging effluents directly or indirectly on land and into water and can
potentially cause adverse effects on land and water quality.”
As per the closure notices, the
directions were issued under Section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act.
